Hamilton was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892, building its reputation on the railroad-accuracy pocket watches that helped standardize American rail timing before outfitting American and British forces through both World Wars. Its 1957 Ventura became the world's first electric watch, worn by Elvis Presley, and Hamilton has since appeared in more than 500 films, from Interstellar's Khaki Field Murph to Men in Black. Now part of Swatch Group and Swiss Made throughout, it anchors the accessible end of Swiss watchmaking alongside Tissot.
